Another successful MCC 6-a-Side Tournament!

Final confirmation of the winners for those that missed prize giving:

Winners: The Ravers beat Jackson Slags with a ball to spare. Chased 52 to win.

Player of the day: Matt Jackson. Highest run scorer including 43 not out chasing 54.

Shot of the Day: Noah Page’s (Stalin & Gash) huge six into the windscreen of a Ford Mondeo.

Champagne Moment: Tom Wiltshire’s (Bears Ba Bas) diving catch on the boundary.

Best Dressed Team: Shared between The Clown Jewels and Motocross Maniacs.

MCC LAST MINUTE BOOZY TOUR TO CORNWALL

MCC TEAM-BUILDING AND MOTIVATIONAL WEEKEND!

That's right - Newquay is due a visit from the best and worst that the MCC has to offer!

We are organising the trip for Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 4th, 5th and 6th of September (first weekend after the league). Here's the beef:

- Three nights away (Sunday night optional for those of you who have to get back for Monday).
- Evening 20/20 with a Cornish side en-route to Nookie.
- Saturday game with another lucky host club.
- Sunday MCC inter-club beach cricket thrash with other beach activities as required.
- Home on Monday for those who don't want to drive back on Sunday.
- Time not accounted for here should be spent drinking, engaging in general tomfoolery, and making shapes in the disco!

Cost: Accommodation will be in static trailers at a holiday park right in Newquay, and we have provisional costs of £25 each per night.

We will need a non-refundable £20 deposit from each participant to secure a place which will go towards accommodation - to help avoid that old chestnut of verbal agreement followed by a change of mind 5 minutes before we leave. Please make sure you have this with you this Saturday as we will be collecting it from those who are coming.

We appreciate that this is a ridiculously last minute jaunt, so we need to make sure that enough people want to get involved.

Could all of those interested please send an email as soon as possible to Redrum - who will set up a mailing list for the tour, and to which we will send further details.

We'll try and organise some shirts for the occasion - costs to follow.

We have decided to go all the way this year and keep the event in the village by having it at the club. We have hired caterers and a marquee - don't worry it is carpeted and heated, complete with wooden dance floor!
