The following has been confirmed for Sunday:
Start time: Around 1pm/1.30pm. (Competition rules actually state 1pm for start). Since we have a long way to go but we will aim to start as close to 1pm as possible.
Coach: Leaves Marshfield (by FB Bond) around 8.30am.
Breakfast: The Nelson currently do Sunday morning breakfasts and this Sunday they will be open from 7.45am for service should you wish to line the stomach before the big day!
Ground: Plenty of room for parking and seating around the boundary. They have a “lovely ground” apparently.
Booze: They want people to buy alcohol from their bar and do not want excess booze being taken into their ground. Picnics etc are fine but they will not let lads coming off the bus with crates of booze! |

This Saturday the 1st XI beat Wotton Bassett at Broadleys and the 2nd XI were defeated away.
1st XI - Wotton Bassett put up 240 and were bowled all out. MCC won with 242 for 3.
Bill scoring 64 NO and James knocking up 92!
The 3rd XI further their winning streak to 4 with a good win against Marlborough 3 at Fortress Withymead.
Rob Iles scored 77 with the bat & bowled 5 for 42 off 11 overs. |

MCC beat Potterne CC in the NPower Village Knockout today, ensuring MCC's passage to the Last 16 of the VK competition!
Well done boys on a fantastic win at Broadleys in the VK Last 32.

This Saturday the 1st XI won away at Wotton Bassett and the 2nd XI were narrowly defeated at Broadleys.
The 3rd XI continue their winning streak with a convincing win against Bathford 2 at Fortress Withymead. |

MCC Six-a-Side Tournament – Sunday 19th July
It's nearly time for the Annual Fancy Dress 6 a Side tournament. All teams of all sexes are welcome. There is no age limit but this is meant as a senior tournament played with hard cricket balls and some big hitting – so ages of around 13 upwards. Remember it is fancy dress also!
It is a fun day and a great family fund raiser for the club! You can download the registration sheet here.
