A big well done goes to Ben "Chalky" White after being awarded the Scrumpy Jack Player of the Round in round 7 of the NPower Village Knockout!  - Many congratulations!

Scrumpy Jack will be sending Chalky an official certificate along with a case of scrumpy jack to be shared with the rest of the team (Only if you ask Chalky nicely!).

Against Cresselly in the last 16 match, Ben bowled quite tightly and returned the figures: 9 overs, 6 maidens, 2 wickets, 3 runs. So only conceding 3 runs off 9 overs!

Apart from the usual high standard of league and friendly cricket there are some additional events coming up over the next month or so:

Friday 31st July – MCC v Ranjane Cricket Academy (from Pune, India). 2pm start.
Saturday 1st August – Curry Night at the club. 8pm onwards. Supporters and players welcome.
Tuesday 18th August – MCC v Reigate Priory (tour match against a top Surrey side).
Monday 31st August – Family Fun Day (with British Legion). 2pm onwards, including Arran Pilot band.

Friday 6th November – End of Season Dinner at Broadleys.
Saturday 7th November – Fireworks evening.

Plenty of events and dates for you and your friends to support.

A big well done goes to the U17s who inflicted a shock defeat on Lansdown last night. The boys played superbly to end up winning by 84 runs in a 20 over match against a top team in the league!
