Marshfield Cricket Club has a thriving youth section, which aims to be a friendly and inclusive, with approximately 100 juniors (aged 8 to 17) from the village and surrounding area. 

They are divided amongst squads according to age:
U9  Introduced to cricket by playing Kwik Cricket and they have the opportunity to play in several Sunday morning festivals at local clubs. (Contact: Annabelle Heap 01225 745838 or Tim Vellacot 01225 892318)

Children are introduced to hard ball cricket as they move up to U11 and play in the following leagues:
U11 Wiltshire Youth Cricket League and the Konica Minolta Bristol Youth Cricket League
U13 Wiltshire Youth Cricket League
U15 Wiltshire Youth Cricket League
U17 Konica Minolta Bristol Youth Cricket League

Our youth teams also play in cup and friendly matches during the season so there is plenty of cricket available and we aim to give all players some match experience.

The U11s did particularly well last season, becoming Wiltshire Youth League Champions for the second season running. 

Marshfield Cricket Club is working towards the prestigious ‘Clubmark’ status for which it is committed to best practice for youth cricket.  It currently has 5 ECB qualified coaches at either Level 1 or Level 2.  All coaches, regular helpers and many senior players have completed the necessary CRB checks.
The season starts with youth registration night on Friday3rd April and the youth teams (with the exception of U17s) practice between 6pm and 8pm on subsequent Friday evenings throughout the summer.  U17s join the third eleven for nets on Wednesday evenings.
