The main highlight of the 2008 season was the Club’s remarkable run at the National Village Knockout competition where we reached the last 8.  We went to the “far west” of Wales to a village in Pembrokeshire called Carew.  We came a very close second on the day, losing by just 2 runs.  The finalists of this competition get to play at Lords – this is every village club’s dream – with Marshfield being no exception.

On a Saturday the Club enters 3 senior teams, with the 1st and 2nd XI teams playing in the Gloucester/Wiltshire division and the 3rd IV playing in the Wiltshire league.  On Sundays we play friendly matches against other local clubs.

The Club also runs a number of successful youth teams from under 9’s to under 17’s.  We have qualified coaches who lead the youth teams and the practice nights are on a Friday during the season from 6.00pm at the Club.

The Club has a friendly and social atmosphere and welcomes both new playing members and
spectators.  Feel free to wander up on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and watch some village cricket.
