The Maidens bring home the silver!

Plate winners 2016

At the second session of the Wilts Cricket Vipers Indoor Competition held in Chippenham the Maidens won the plate competition beating the Potterne Panthers, now very familiar rivals, 59 to 30. Amy Walkman captained well, encouraging and supporting, and took home an England top as reward for her three wickets. Another star bowler was Alice Edwards who took 2 wickets showing us more mature players how it is done. We hope to see more of her in the future. It was great to see Millie Jobling back in the team and it was much appreciated that Anna Christie stepped in when Nina Goerzel was laid low with an ear infection at such short notice.

So having gained a taste for trophies we can’t wait for future competition in the spring. We’re going to need a cabinet guys!
