U13 Girls Perform Well in End Of Season Game

U13Girls chippenham 10 09 17

A bleak September morning at Broadleys saw the girls hard ball season end with a defeat to a Chippenham U13's side who fielded 10 county players - but our team with 7 x U11's in it performed very well, and I was very very proud of them.

They all played with a smile on their faces, plenty of chat and encouragement from start to finish - although still some way short of Chippenham's noise level which is un-rivalled!

Ruby fielded flawlessly as usual.

Maddy bowled her usual tidy stuff .

Molly B bowled and batted well.

Lily, Lucy, Alberta and Emmy did brilliantly in the hardest match they'd ever played in.

Emma kept very well in wet conditions, but GIRL OF THE GAME goes to ALICE WILSON who batted very maturely and bowled quick and straight and got their best player out with the perfect Yorker ( and then ran her out 3 balls later as well ). Not so noisy after that!!

Thanks to all the girls - see you all for some Christmas cricket..

Huge thank you for today Andy. Fabulous end to the season. The score wasn't important. What I loved was the positive attitude of the girls, constant communication and probably the first game I've ever seen where the fielding got better through the game. So much potential for next year. Looking forward to it already ????
