New MCC Live Scores service launches!

After a successful trial of a new live scores ‘scoreboard’ app last weekend, we are ready to go live with a ‘cutting edge’ ball-by-ball updating scorecard coming to you from 1st XI games, starting this Saturday against Corsham from 12.30pm.

The live scores distributor takes the output from the scorer’s laptop at the game and, by means of some clever technical wizardry, sends it via a webserver directly to the Marshfield CC website homepage. Thus when 1st XI games are in progress you should be able to find the latest live score at www.marshfieldcricketclub.co.uk

How this will display will depend a little on the device you are using... on mobiles it should be the first thing you’ll see at the top of the page...on tablets or laptops you may have to scroll down the homepage a little.

In another exciting development which we believe to be a first in WEPL, we can display the live scorecards on the TV in the Clubhouse as the game is in progress, even when the 1st XI are playing away from home!

We hope that you will find this new free service a useful addition to help all MCC supporters and players follow the action whether it be from their sofa in Marshfield or far flung corners of the world.

N.B While we will do our best to provide live scores, it does depend a little on time constraints, facilities available at opposition grounds, mobile signal strength and other technical details. If it isn’t up and running on a Saturday you can still follow 1st XI games via the links to the Play-Cricket scorecard on our Twitter feed.
