'MCC's youth section purpose statements articulate wonderfully what the role of any junior section should be across the country.  The statements align to what we expect from junior sections in Gloucestershire, covering both participation and a focus on performance'.

Steve Silk, Chief Executive, Gloucestershire Cricket Board, 18 April 2017.

‘I am delighted that the work setting out the purpose of, and the priorities for, our thriving youth section has been so positively endorsed by the Chief Executive of Gloucestershire Cricket Board, Steve Silk. Of course, the real challenge lies ahead in bringing that purpose to life! I know that the volunteers who manage the youth section – our coaches, and members of our youth and main committees - will be doing their best to do just that over the coming season. The youth section is always looking for ideas and input from its most important people, its players, so please do pass on any views they, or you, have, to Robin Hand.

Thank you for your enduring support of this fantastic club of ours - here’s looking forward to another great season’!

Nick Heynen, Chairman, Marshfield Cricket Club, 19 April, 2017

Thanks for the session last Sunday, it sounds like Anneka really enjoyed herself.

She really enjoyed it today by the way, and now wants to be a cricketer when she grows up!.
