Congratulations Elliot Ede!

Well done to Elliot for making his competitive debut for Marshfield Cricket Club’s senior 1^st  XI. 

Elliot contributed with both bat and ball in a hard-fought, close victory against Swindon CC.  It’s fair to say that it’s a been a while since the youth section has provided a senior first eleven cricketer.  A lot of hard work has gone into youth cricket over the last five years -  from everyone involved in the club - and it’s great to see a fresh crop of talent coming through. 

Elliot said of his debut:

At the start of the game I felt nervous as I didn’t want to make any mistakes and let the team down.  However, as the game progressed and with much support and encouragement from my team mates, I felt my confidence improve and I really enjoyed playing the match.  I hope as my game improves, I will have opportunities in the future to play with the Seniors again.
