More Sucess for the U9 Boys At The Bathford Festival

U9 bathford fesitival 14 07 19

We took two teams to Bathford on Sunday, with some great new faces to the teams and a strong showing from some of the U7s who joined the U9s again this week to make up two mixed teams.  Both teams tasted victory, with three out of four matches victorious and a great level of effort, skill and sportsmanship from all the players. The boys showed strength in all areas during the day, with fielding increasingly sharp and consistently denying runs - with Liam Davidson’s one-handed diving stop saving a boundary a highlight.

With this our fourth festival it is great to see how much value the team place on their wicket when batting, with cheap wickets a thing of the past - and no wickets lost in our final game.  The final word has to go to Benjy White’s superb bowling, with no fewer than six wickets in the morning, including a triple wicket maiden that Jofra Archer would have been proud of...

Thanks, Emma again for your help!
